Help with Evidence Vault for Stripe

Getting Started

1

Install from Stripe Marketplace

Search for “CertNode Evidence Vault” in the Stripe App Marketplace and install it.

2

Enable Evidence Collection

Go to the app's Settings page and toggle “Enable Evidence Collection” on.

3

Add collect.js (recommended)

Add <script src="https://certnode.io/collect.js"></script> to your checkout page. This captures device fingerprint and IP address — the two strongest signals for fraud disputes.

4

Evidence starts flowing

Every successful payment now captures 3DS, AVS, CVC, device, and IP data with RFC 3161 timestamps.

Billing

$0 Monthly Fee

No subscription, no setup costs.

$0.03 Per Transaction

Only charged for evidence actually captured. Reflex users pay $0.02 (33% discount).

$5 Monthly Minimum

Waived if you have zero transactions in a billing period.

Billed Monthly

Invoices generated on the 1st of each month for the previous month's usage.

Troubleshooting

No evidence appearing for payments

Make sure Evidence Collection is enabled in Settings. Evidence only captures on payments that succeed after installation. Check that the webhook is active in your Stripe Dashboard.

Device fingerprint and IP missing

These require collect.js to be installed on your checkout page. Without it, only 3DS, AVS, and CVC are captured from Stripe's payment data.

Evidence not attached to disputes

If you also use CertNode Reflex, vault evidence is automatically included in dispute responses. Without Reflex, evidence is stored and viewable in the Stripe Dashboard but must be manually included in your response.
