Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about automated dispute defense

What is CertNode Reflex?

Reflex is an automated dispute defense system that monitors your Stripe account 24/7. When a customer files a chargeback, Reflex automatically gathers cryptographic evidence and submits a compelling defense to Stripe within 60 seconds.

How much does Reflex cost?

Reflex charges a 15% success fee on recovered amounts. That's 40% less than alternatives (Disputifier 20%, Chargeflow 25%, Stripe Smart Disputes 30%). You only pay when you win. No monthly fees, no setup costs, no minimum volume.

What's the win rate?

Win rates vary by dispute type and evidence quality, and we don't publish a headline win-rate figure. What we control is the evidence: certified timestamps, delivery proof, and customer history assembled into a complete, self-authenticating package for every defensible dispute.

Do I need technical knowledge to use Reflex?

No. Installation is one click from the Stripe App Marketplace. Reflex then runs automatically with zero manual work required.

What data does Reflex access?

Reflex reads payment intents, charges, and dispute data from your Stripe account (with your permission). We never access your Stripe Secret Key or have the ability to create or modify payments.

How fast does Reflex respond to disputes?

Reflex responds within ~60 seconds of detecting a dispute. Evidence is gathered and submitted to Stripe automatically.

Can I review evidence before it's submitted?

Yes. By default, Reflex auto-submits evidence to Stripe within 60 seconds of detecting a dispute. To review each response first, open Stripe Dashboard → Apps → CertNode Reflex → Settings and toggle Auto-Submit Evidence off. Reflex then prepares the full evidence package and stages it on the dispute in your Stripe Dashboard so you can review and submit it yourself before the deadline.

What settings can I configure?

Access settings from Stripe Dashboard: Apps → CertNode Reflex → Settings. You can toggle Auto-Submit Evidence (on by default — turn it off to review each response before submitting) and Email Notifications (new disputes and outcomes).

What are certified timestamps?

Certified timestamps use RFC 3161, an international standard for timestamping. They are structured to the Federal Rules of Evidence 902(13)/(14) self-authenticating standard and provide independently verifiable proof of when a transaction occurred.

Is my data secure?

Yes. CertNode uses 256-bit encryption at rest and TLS 1.3 in transit. We're hosted on enterprise infrastructure with strict access controls.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. There are no long-term contracts or cancellation fees. You can disconnect Reflex anytime from your Stripe dashboard.

What if Reflex loses a dispute?

You don't pay anything. We only charge the 15% success fee when we win and recover the disputed amount.

Do you support multiple Stripe accounts?

Yes. You can connect multiple Stripe accounts. Each account is billed separately based on usage.

What dispute types does Reflex handle?

All Stripe dispute types: fraudulent, product not received, duplicate, subscription canceled, credit not processed, and more. Reflex defends all disputes automatically, no threshold, maximum protection.
